Backup MI 3 using Mi PC Suite

1. On MI 3, click Settings > Additional settings > Developer options

2. USB debugging > ON

3. Connect MI 3 using USB cable with the laptop. Mi PC Suite will autostart

4. Click Backups > Back up now

5. Click OK

Install Mi PC Suite

1. Download Mi PC Suite

2. Click Install

Install Samsung SmartSwitch

1. Download Samsung SmartSwitch for Windows or MAC OS.

2. Check both checkbox for 'I accept the terms of the license agreement' > Next >

3. Setup in progress ...

4. Installing device drivers. This may take several minutes.

5. Uncheck 'Create Shortcut on Desktop' > Finish

6. Connect the device.

Transfer MI 3W Contacts into Google Account

1. On MI 3, click Settings > Contacts

2. Import/Export contacts > Export to storage > OK

3. Import from storage > Google > OK

4. Message "... will be imported shortly" will appear

5. Login to Google Contacts using the same google account as in MI 3. Contacts from phone will appear under 'All Contacts'.

Upgrade Windows 8.1 to Windows 10

1. Right hand click on Get Windows 10 icon on taskbar

2. Click Go to Windows Update

3. On Upgrade to Windows 10, click Get started

4. Click Accept

5. Click Start the upgrade now

6. Upgrading Windows

    - Configuring settings
    - Reboot

7. On Hi there, welcome back!, enter the user password. Click Next

8. On Get going fast, click Use Express settings

9. On Customize settings, turn Off for Personalization and Location. Click Next

10. Turn On for Browser and protection and turn Off for Connectivity and error reporting. Click Next

11. Click Next on New apps for the new Windows

12. This won't take long Setting up your apps

13. Taking care of a few things Don't turn off your pc

14. Windows 10 upgrade completed successfully.
