Create Windows 10 Bootable USB Drive Using Media Creation Tool

1. Download 64-bit Media Creation Tool

2. Run MediaCreationToolx64.exe


3. Choose Create installation media for another PC > Next


4. Select language, architecture, and edition:
   Language: English (United States)
   Edition: Windows 10 Pro
   Architecture: 64-bit (x64)
   Click Next


5. Choose which media to use: USB flash drive. Click Next


6. Removable drives: D: (No Label). Click Next


7. Click Finish

Upgrade MI 3W Firmware (MIUI V6.6.3.0.KXDMICF)


1. Settings > About Phone > System updates > Update

2. Updating

3. Restart

4. Settings > About Phone > MIUI Version: MIUI 6.6.3.0(KXDMICF) | Stable

Google Device Policy for MI 3W


REMARK: ONLY available to Google Apps for Work, Education and Government customers.

1. Play Store > Search 'Google Apps Device Policy' > INSTALL > ACCEPT > OPEN

2. Next > Activate > Enforce

3. Device password must have at least 4 characters

4. Device password must contain letters and number

5. Click Menu > Status > Locate: Enable Location > Yes

6. Access My Devices using browser. User had option to Reset PIN, Lock Device, Ring Device, Wipe Device, or Locate Device the phone. 

Add Google Account on MI 3W


1. Settings > Add under 'Accounts' > Google

2. Add a Google Account: Existing

3. Sign in: Email
                 Password

4. By signing in, you are agreeing to the Google Terms of Service...: OK

5. BACKUP & RESTORE: Uncheck
   COMMUNICATION: Uncheck
   Click Next

6. Set up payment info: SKIP

7. To access, Settings > All under 'Accounts' > Google

Transfer MI 3W to Samsung GALAXY Note 4 Using Super Backup : SMS & Contacts Apps


1. Install Super Backup : SMS & Contacts from Play Store on both handphones

2. On MI 3W:

2.1 On Welcome page, click Not Now

2.2 To backup SMS, click SMS Backup > Backup

2.3 On Please enter a name for the backup file..., click OK

2.4 On Backup completed successfully!..., Check Do not remind again..., click Not Now

2.5 To backup Call Logs, click Call Logs Backup > Backup

2.6 On Please enter a name for the backup file..., click OK

2.7 Backup completed successfully!

2.8 To backup Calendars, click Calendars Backup > Backup

2.9 On Please enter a name for the backup file..., click OK

2.10 Backup completed successfully!

2.11 Connect MI 3W to laptop via USB Cable. Open Windows Explorer. Look for MI 3W\SmsContactBackup. Copy out the 3 sub folder; calendars, logs, sms

3. On Samsung Note 4:

3.1 On Welcome page, click Not Now

3.2 Connect Note 4 to laptop via USB. Open Windows Explorer

3.3 copy calllogs_....xml into \NOTE4\Phone\SmsContactsBackup\logs

3.4 copy cal_....xml into \NOTE4\Phone\SmsContactsBackup\calendars

3.5 copy sms_....xml into \NOTE4\Phone\SmsContactsBackup\sms

3.6 To restore SMS > SMS Backup > Restore

3.7 Check Do not remind again > Click OK on SuperBackup must be set as the default SMS app to restore messages...

3.8 Click OK on Change messaging app

3.9 Click on 'sms_....xml'

3.10 Restore in progress > OK

3.11 To restore Call Logs > Call Logs Backup > Restore > click on 'calllog_....xml'

3.12 Restore in progress > OK

3.13 To restore Calendars > Calendars Backup > Restore > click on 'cal_....xml'

3.14 Restore in progress > OK

3.15 Change back default Messages app > Settings > Default applications > Messages > Messages
