Upgrade iPhone 5 to iOS 9.3.2


WARNING: Before perform the update, always perform phone backup! The author will NOT be held responsibility under any circumstances.

PRE-CHECK LIST

1. Make sure the phone battery is fully charged or connect to direct power source (recommended).

2. 'Wi-Fi' is connected to download the iOS 9 package.

3. Full iPhone 5 backup using iTunes.

4. Once backup completed, disconnect the phone.

UPDATE!

1. On iPhone 5, To view installed version:
   Settings > General > About. Look for Version: 8.1

2. Settings > General > Software Update

3. Install Now > Enter Passcode > Agree > Agree > Verifying update...

4. iPhone reboot > upgrade on progress

5. Once finish, it'll reboot.

6. Hello > slide to set up

7. Enter passcode > SIM Locked > Unlock > Enter PIN

8. Update Completed > Continue

9. Location Services > Disable Location Services > OK

10. To finish setting up iCloud, ... > Skip This Step > Skip

11. iCloud Drive > Turn off iCloud Drive > Continue

12. Diagnostics > Don't Send

13. Welcome to iPhone > Get Started

Backup Google Apps Data Using Google Takeout


1. Sign in to Gmail via www.gmail.com

2. Click on Account (mine shown as E in circle) > My Account

3. Under Personal info & privacy, click Control your content

4. Click CREATE ARCHIVE







5. Select related apps to backup, i.e: Contacts, Drive, Mail > Next













6. Choose:
   File type: .zip
   Delivery method: Send download link via email

7. Click Create archive






8. Archiving in progress...

9. You'll receive email notification once archive completed > click Download archive


10. Click DOWNLOAD

11. Click Save

12. Once download completed, click DONE


NOTE: The archive will kept for 30 days and can be retrieve using Control your content

Soution: yum update failed with error, "[Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 22 - "The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found"

SYMPTOM:

yum update failed with error, '[Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 22 - "The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found'
  http://olcentgbl.trafficmanager.net/centos/6/updates/x86_64/Packages/nss-util-3.19.1-5.el6_7.x86_64.rpm: [Errno 14] PYCURL ERROR 22 - "The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found"

AFFECTED OS:
  • RHEL 6
  • CentOS 6
SOLUTION:

1. Login as root

2. Verify the RHEL/ CentOS is the latest version ---> rpm -q centos-release
     centos-release-6-7.el6.centos.12.3.x86_64

3. yum clean all
    Loaded plugins: security
    Cleaning repos: base epel extras openlogic updates
    Cleaning up Everything

4. yum update

Soution: yum update failed with error, "Not using downloaded repomd.xml because it is older than what we have"

SYMPTOM:
