Disable AppCloud on Samsung Galaxy M31

1. Settings > Apps > AppCloud

2. Disable > Disable app

9. Backup found > RESTORE

10. Restoring messages (x%) > NEXT

11. Profile info > Enter {Name} > NEXT

Back up WhatsApp Chat History On Samsung Note 4 Using Google Drive


1. Open WhatsApp

2. More options (3 dot) > Settings > Chats > Chat backup

3. Google Drive settings
   Back up to Google Drive: Only when I tap "Back up"
   Google Account: {emailid@gmail.com}
   WhatsApp would like to: > Allow
   Back up over: Wi-Fi
   Include videos: Disable

4. Tap BACK UP

5. Backing up messages: Please wait a moment (x%)

6. Uploading: x MB of y GB (z%)

7. Once backup completed, Last Backup status as follow:
   Local: hh:mm
   Google Drive: hh:mm
   Size: x GB

Samsung Galaxy M31: Transfer from Samsung Note 4 Using Samsung Smart Switch



REMARK: Some application data, i.e; WhatsApp and LINE chat history had to be backup and restore manually

A. On Samsung Note 4:

1. Install Samsung Smart Switch from Play Store

2. Welcome to Smart Switch > Agree > Allow

3. Bring your data to your new phone > Send data

4. Get connected > Wireless

B. On Samsung Galaxy M31:

5. For new out of box M31, follow steps 1 - 20 on "Samsung Galaxy M31: First Time Setup".

6. Settings > Accounts and backup > Smart Switch > Download

7. Welcome to Smart Switch > Agree > Allow

8. Bring your data to your new phone > Receive data

9. Get connected > Galaxy/Android > Wireless

C. On Samsung Note 4:

10. Allow

D. On Samsung Galaxy M31:

11. Choose what to bring
     Internal storage:
     SD Card:
     Transfer
     Keep screen on: Tick (Both phone)

12. Copying your stuff... {x% y minutes left}

13. Get the most from your new Galaxy M31 > Done

E. On Samsung Note 4:

14. All done > Close

Samsung Galaxy M31: First Time Setup


1. Insert nano SIM card into dual SIM slot

2. Press and hold to Power on

3. Let's go! > English (United Kingdom) --->

4. Check out some info to get started > I have read and agree to all of the above > Next

5. Choose a Wi-Fi network > Choose SSID > Enter Wi-Fi Password > Connect > Next

6. Checking for updates...

7. Copy apps & data > Don't copy

8. Google Sign in:

9. Add phone number? > Skip > I agree

10. The new way to talk to Google > No thanks

11. See what's trending with the Google Assistant > Next

12. Google Services:
     Backup & storage: Disable
     Use location: Disable
     Send usage and diagnostic data: Disable
     Accept

13. Protect your phone > PIN:
     Enter minimum 4 digit PIN
     Confirm PIN without tapping OK: Tick
     Continue
     Enter the PIN again to confirm it
     OK

14. Get recommended apps > Uncheck Samsung Max-UDS > Next

15. Sign in to your Samsung account > Skip

16. Skip out on all this? > Skip

17. All done! > Finish

18. Discover and install great apps > Continue

19. Recommended apps > Deselect all > Install

20. All Done! > Finish
