'BlackBerry Identity installation failed. Please try again later. (80003)' Error When Accessing BlackBerry App World


 BlackBerry OS 5.0 on BlackBerry Curve 9300

1. Click on BlackBerry key.

2. Select Options > Advanced Options > TCP/IP.

3. Check 'APN Settings Enabled'.

4. Enter word Internet on 'APN' field

5. Select Save.

6. Restart BlackBerry by removing the battery

7. Click on BlackBerry key > App World

8. Select 'Yes' on 'A BlackBerry Identity update is needed. Would you like to install it now?'

9. Once update completed, select 'Restart Now'


10. BlackBerry key > Options > Advanced Options > TCP/IP.

11. Uncheck 'APN Settings Enabled'.

Windows Update Failed to install KB2742597 on Windows XP SP3

Solved by using 'manual' installation method on Windows XP SP3 32-bit (x86).

1. Download Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 (dotnetfx.exe)

2. Download KB2742597 (NDP1.1sp1-KB2742597-X86.exe)

3. Run dotnetfx.exe. Click Yes.

4. Wait for files extraction to complete.

5. Run NDP1.1sp1-KB2742597-X86.exe file.


6. Click OK

7. Click I accept

8. Click OK

How to Transfer Files from Windows to iPad

1. Connect iPad to computer using Dock Connector to USB cable.

2. Launch iTunes from computer. Follow this guide to install iTunes; http://emanduel.blogspot.com/2012/07/install-itunes-on-windows-xp-pro-sp3.html.


3a. For 1st time, select 'Set up as new iPad' and click Continue. On 'Sync with iTunes', click Get Started.

   
    OR



3b. Click iPad icon on top right hand size corner.


4. Click the Apps tab and scroll down to the bottom of the page.


5. Look for 'File Sharing' section.
    NOTE: For pdf document, install free Adobe Reader on iPad from App Store.


    
6. List of apps currently installed that support File Sharing will be display.

7. Select an app to view a list of the files that currently stored by that app in right hand size column.

8a. Drag file from Windows Explorer and drop on right hand column of the selected app.

    OR

8b. Click Add.. Select the file and click Open.


 

9. Click Sync.


 

10. Syncing in progress...

 

11. Once done, click Done on top right corner.

12. Click eject iPad.
