Create BlackBerry ID

1. Click on BlackBerry softpad key

2. Select App World

3. Click I Agree
4. Enter desire First Name, Last Name, Screen Name, Username, Password, Confirm Password, Password Recovery Question and Answer. Click Submit

Update BlackBerry Device Software from the Smartphone


1. Select options on your smartphone’s home screen.

2. Click Advanced Options.

3. Select Wireless Update.

4. Check 'Don't show again' on Introduction page. Click Next.

5. Click Check for Updates on Available Updates page.

6. Select BlackBerry App World

7. Select Download Now

8. Select English. Click Next

9. Select Download

10. Select Replace; i.e: version 1.1.0.35 with version 3.1.2.32

11. Click OK on The application was successfully installed.

12. Press and Hold Escape softpad key

13. Scroll down on SOFTWARE LICENCE AGREEMENTS. Click I Accept

14. Click Yes on 'A BlackBerry Identity update is needed...'

15. Click Restart Now

Check BlackBerry Curve 9300 OS Version

1. Click on BlackBerry softpad key.

2. Select Options.

3. Select About.

4. BlackBerry OS version display at 3rd line; i.e: v5.0.0.977 (Bundle 1602, Platform 6.3.0.63)

Transfer Photos from iPhone 3GS to Windows XP

REMARK: DO NOT turn on iTunes

1. Connect iPhone and computer with Windows XP using USB Power Adapter.

2. On Apple iPhone pop-up screen, Select Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard. Click OK.

 3. Click Next

4. Select all/ selected photos by check/ uncheck the checkbox on top of right hand size of each photo. Click Next.

5. Click Browse button to choose the destination folder on your computer to save the photos. Click Next.

6. Copying photo on progress.

7. Select 'Nothing. I'm finished working with these pictures'. Click Next.

8. Click Finish.

'Unable to Run bootsect to Make The USB Device Bootable' Error When Using Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool

SYMPTOM: At the end of step 4, the following message appear, 'Files copied successfully. However, we were unable to run bootsect to make the USB device bootable. If you need assistance with bootsect, please click the "Onlne Help" link above for more information.'


CAUSE: User creating a 64-bit bootable USB device from a 32-bit version of Windows.

WORKAROUND:

1. Download 32-bit bootsect.exe from Microsoft Store account or copy from 32 bit Windows 7 Installation DVD.
2. Copy :\boot\bootsect.exe file to Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool Installation folder (e.g; C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Local Settings\Application Data\Apps\Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool).
3.Re-create bootable USB device.

REMARK: 
- Make sure the USB drive is empty. Else, copy the USB data to another storage before proceeding as the tools will format the drive and all data will be lost.
- The tool ONLY accepts .ISO images.
- Make changes to BIOS to enable boot from USB drive.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

. Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
. Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
. 50MB of free space on your hard drive
. DVD-R drive or 4GB removable USB flash drive

PRE-INSTALLATION: FOR WINDOWS XP USERS ONLY

Install the following prior to installing the tool:
A. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 must be installed. It can be downloaded here
B. Microsoft Image Mastering API v2 must be installed. It can be downloaded here

1. Download Windows7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool-Installer-en-US.exe Windows7-USB-DVD-tool.exe
2. Run the Windows7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool-Installer-en-US.exe Windows7-USB-DVD-tool.exe.

3. Click Next


4. Click Install

5. Installation in progress

 6. Click Finish

7. Start > Programs > Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool > Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool

 8. Click Browse button to browse Windows 7 .ISO file. Click Next.

 9. Click USB device button.

10. Click Refresh button if USB drive not shown. Select and click Begin copying.
11. 'Not Enough Free Space' message will prompt if the drive is NOT empty. Click Erase USB Device
12. Click Yes to remove all the content
 11. Formating... and Copying files... in progress. ETA about 20 - 30 minutes.
12. Once complete, close the tool and use the USB drive to install Windows 7.
