'Unable to Run bootsect to Make The USB Device Bootable' Error When Using Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool

SYMPTOM: At the end of step 4, the following message appear, 'Files copied successfully. However, we were unable to run bootsect to make the USB device bootable. If you need assistance with bootsect, please click the "Onlne Help" link above for more information.'


CAUSE: User creating a 64-bit bootable USB device from a 32-bit version of Windows.

WORKAROUND:

1. Download 32-bit bootsect.exe from Microsoft Store account or copy from 32 bit Windows 7 Installation DVD.
2. Copy :\boot\bootsect.exe file to Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool Installation folder (e.g; C:\Documents and Settings\Admin\Local Settings\Application Data\Apps\Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool).
3.Re-create bootable USB device.

REMARK: 
- Make sure the USB drive is empty. Else, copy the USB data to another storage before proceeding as the tools will format the drive and all data will be lost.
- The tool ONLY accepts .ISO images.
- Make changes to BIOS to enable boot from USB drive.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

. Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)
. Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
. 50MB of free space on your hard drive
. DVD-R drive or 4GB removable USB flash drive

PRE-INSTALLATION: FOR WINDOWS XP USERS ONLY

Install the following prior to installing the tool:
A. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 must be installed. It can be downloaded here
B. Microsoft Image Mastering API v2 must be installed. It can be downloaded here

1. Download Windows7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool-Installer-en-US.exe Windows7-USB-DVD-tool.exe
2. Run the Windows7-USB-DVD-Download-Tool-Installer-en-US.exe Windows7-USB-DVD-tool.exe.

3. Click Next


4. Click Install

5. Installation in progress

 6. Click Finish

7. Start > Programs > Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool > Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool

 8. Click Browse button to browse Windows 7 .ISO file. Click Next.

 9. Click USB device button.

10. Click Refresh button if USB drive not shown. Select and click Begin copying.
11. 'Not Enough Free Space' message will prompt if the drive is NOT empty. Click Erase USB Device
12. Click Yes to remove all the content
 11. Formating... and Copying files... in progress. ETA about 20 - 30 minutes.
12. Once complete, close the tool and use the USB drive to install Windows 7.

Garmin 1350 How to Update the Software?

REMARK: Please backup waypoints and route data by copying the GPX files in the Garmin storage into your computer disk

1) Download nuvi13-14xx_SG_v310.exe from:
URL: http://www.garmin.com.sg/products/ontheroad/nuvi1350/#updateTab

2) Connect the device to PC via mini-USB cable. The device will initialize into USB mode.

3) Execute nuvi13-14xx_SG_v310.exe.



 4) Click OK button


5) Click Setup.


6) Click Next


 7) Click Next

 8) Transferring Data screen will appear


 9) Click Finish


10) Unplug the USB cable

11) Nuvi will automatically restart and perform the update. Message "SOFTWARE LOADING..." will appear.
WARNING: DO NOT turn off the nuvi or remove the external cable (if any).

12) Once update completed, nuvi will restart by itself.

13) Select a locale, click left button until Malaysia appear. Click OK

14) Register Your Product, click OK

15) On WARNING, Click Agree

iPad 2: Create Folder on Home Screen



Benefits - Better organise a group of similar apps into one folder.
             - Able to locate apps easily
             - Make home screen look neater.

Here's how:

1. Go to the iPad Home screen.

2. Touch and hold on apps icon to group into folder. Wait until it jiggles.

3. Drag the jiggling icon onto another icon and a new folder is automatically created which contains both icons.

4. Tap on the folder name field to change the folder name.

5. Click on Home button when done.

Lady on Mission: Tribute to Sabrina Yeap Wen

In loving memory of animal saviour. May her soul placed among angel in heaven.


1963 - Born as Yeap Wen

         - 1 month old both parents died in car accident. Raise up in temple.

         - Worked as animal inspector with Selangor Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)

2004 - Together with SPCA Selangor volunteer, Dawn Peacock, drafted the SPCA Petition to amend the Animal Ordinance 1956

4 Oct 2006 - Officially register Furry Friends Farm located in Kundang, Selangor

9 Jun 2007 - Launched Dr Dog Malaysia, an Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) programme with Jill Robinson, MBE, the CEO and Founder of Animals Asia Foundation based in Hong Kong at Bandar Utama, Selangor

May 2009 - Led The Pulau Selat Kering rescue mission to rescue stray dogs abandoned by residents of Pulau Ketam to curb the overpopulation of stray dogs

24 Jul 2011 - NTV7 Magseven Documentary Programme documented and aired Furry Friends Farm

18 Jun 2012 - Celebrating the four-legged Pulau Ketam hero Kuning’s 8th birthday

28 Jun 2012 - Appeared on Bella Unwind on NTV7 to spoke about cat care

16 Jul 2012 - Slipping into coma at night

17 Jul 2012 - Passed away at the Sungai Buloh Hospital due to leukaemia at 2.50pm at the aged of 49, leaves behind 200 dogs, 150 cats, countless friends and admirers.
                    - Her funeral sponsored by NV Multi Asia Sdn Bhd, owner of Nirvana Memorial Park.

20 Jul 2012 - Cortege leaving at 10am from Sungai Besi Nirvana Memorial Centre to Shah Alam Nirvana Crematorium. Her ashes will be scattered in the sea at Port Klang in the afternoon.
